The appearance you want without the inconveniences.
We always look to save your tooth - but sometimes that isn’t possible. When a tooth must be removed, many solutions are available to you... some long term and some temporary.
One option is a dental implant. Implants are similar in appearance to a crown; however, they are surgically inserted into bone and become just like one of your other teeth. Unlike dentures, an implant does not need to be removed to be cleaned.
Research shows that sealants can last for many years. If your child has good oral hygiene and avoids biting hard objects, sealants will last longer. Our pediatric dentists will check the sealants during routine dental visits and can recommend reapplication or repair when necessary.
The application of a sealant is quick and comfortable. It takes only one visit. The tooth is first cleaned. It is then conditioned and dried. The sealant is then flowed onto the grooves of the tooth and allowed to harden or hardened with a special light. Your child will be able to eat right after the appointment.
You should brush your teeth for two to three minutes with fluoridated toothpaste at least twice a day. If you can brush your teeth after every meal, that’s even better. Keep a toothbrush at work so you can brush after lunch.Read more tips
